Summer Camp for Students
We believe in preparing students for college as early as middle school! We provide a data-driven, college-prep program to all students. Teachers encourage students to explore their interests and discover their passions. Every student, regardless of their background, is encouraged to strive for college.
We believe students do their best when their minds, bodies, and emotions are healthy. Social-emotional learning is an essential part of school. Every student participates in a daily social-emotional wellness class. Our teachers support each student by giving them the attention and tools to empower them during their middle school years and beyond.
We believe athletics inspires joy, builds confidence, and leads to academic success. Research shows us that daily exercise improves memory, attention, and cognition. GALS LA integrates movement, or athletics, in each school day to boost self-esteem and encourage teamwork. From yoga to dance class to field hockey, GALS students have the opportunity to explore a variety of activities.
Every summer, GALS LA partners with Afterschool All-Stars Los Angeles to provide the ASAS-LA Free Summer Bridge Camp. This program is free and available to all GALS LA students. Summer camp participants take part in fun outdoor activities such as arts and crafts, dance, basketball, soccer, volleyball and cheerleading.
